Preschool

Jefferson preschool is a free half day (3 hr morning or afternoon sessions) California State Preschool program operated during the school year (August – May). Our preschool is led by a credentialed teacher and provides developmentally appropriate experiences. Our program focus is on creating a strong academic foundation and social-emotional skills to prepare students for future school success. Two child development assistants are provided in each class, creating a low adult-to-student ratio of 1 to 8. Enrollment eligibility is based on documentation and verification of at least one of the following:

 

  • Jefferson School is your home school. If you are unsure of your home school please use the school locator link to determine your home school.
  • Family is income eligible
  • Family is current aid recipient
  • Family is homeless
  • Family has children that are aid recipients

AND

  • Students must be 3 or 4 on or before December 2nd.
  • Students must be potty trained

Natomas Unified Preschool/First 5 Program

Beanstalk
Beanstalk offers part day preschool programs that provide school readiness for children who are 3 to 5 years old or until entry into kindergarten. Beanstalk partners with Natomas USD, to provide preschool programs on neighborhood school sites. A variety of developmentally appropriate, researched based methods are used to support skill development. Core curriculum is an important component of the preschool experience.
